James qualified as a solicitor in 1992 with City firm, Trowers and Hamlins. He practised as a commercial lawyer in Oman, Dubai and Hong Kong before returning to England in 1999. In 2000, James started his own legal consultancy helping small to medium sized companies receive a level of service and value that was unobtainable through conventional law firms. Exponential growth and strong demand for this type of service led James to establish Keystone Law in 2002. James now focuses on Keystone’s day to day operations as well as the firm’s strategic direction and growth.
Charles was previously Head of Sales at BBC Technology. Prior to that he was responsible for launching BBC Resources' new consultancy operation. Charles has an MBA and extensive commercial experience of international sales and marketing across the whole marketing mix in both technology and professional services. He has been working with Keystone as a Commercial Director since its inception in 2002 and now heads up the firm's finance and IT functions.
William joined Keystone Law from the City firm, Berwin Leighton Paisner. Prior to joining the firm, he spent 7 years as a corporate lawyer undertaking mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, capital raisings and general corporate work. In addition to his legal work with Keystone clients, William is responsible for client care and for coordinating Keystone's many practice areas to provide clients with a seamless service.
Mark joined Keystone Law in 2010, having practised in the West End for 10 years as a Company Commercial Lawyer. In October 2012 Mark became part of the Operational Team where he continues to provide legal services to Keystone clients, with particular focus on early stage and start-up businesses, as well as being responsible for the firm’s business development.
Alex is the Finance Manager who assists Charles Stringer to ensure the smooth running of the accounts department. He also has operational control of completions and money transfers. Alex joined Keystone in 2011.
Sophia is an Accounts Assistant who works alongside Alex Sayers to allocate all incoming funds, post client, office and supplier transactions and help with general accounting queries. Sophia joined Keystone in 2011.
Alison is an Accounts Assistant with operational control of Keystone’s invoicing and payment processes. She ensures Keystone’s clients receive clear and transparent details of all work undertaken for them. Alison joined Keystone in 2007.
Aimee is an Administrative Assistant who works alongside Alison Bloxham and helps with Keystone’s invoicing and payment processes. She also provides general support and assistance to Keystone’s accounts team. Aimee joined Keystone in 2010.
Lisa Bushell is the Personal Assistant to James Knight and Mark Machray, and responsible for all related activity. She also acts as an office manager to Central Office, handles initial enquiries from prospective clients and oversees the firm’s marketing activity. Lisa joined Keystone in 2012.
Kathryn Hill is the Personal Assistant to William Robins and works closely with him on matters of compliance and the administration of the firm. Kathryn also administers the firm’s programme of internal and external continuing professional development as well as assisting the firm’s marketing team. Kathryn joined Keystone in 2012.
Head of Solicitor Support
Jessica is Head of Solicitor Support and the main point of contact for Keystone's lawyers who require administrative support for their fee earning activities. Jessica’s continual interaction with Keystone lawyers commences as soon as they join the firm as it is her responsibility to ensure the set-up process runs smoothly and, if necessary, very quickly. Jessica joined Keystone in 2013.
Emma During is an Administrative Assistant whose principal role is to manage the new client set-up process. As part of this role she undertakes Keystone’s anti-money laundering and conflict checks. She is also responsible for the operational efficiency of Keyed-In, an interactive intranet that helps Keystone’s personnel perform administrative and fee earning tasks. Emma joined Keystone in 2010.
Assistant Support Executive
Sophie is an Assistant Support Executive who works alongside Jessica Bright to ensure Keystone’s lawyers receive comprehensive support with their administrative and fee earning activities. As such her duties include booking meeting rooms, dealing with couriers, handling post, liaising with suppliers and preparing trial bundles. Sophie joined Keystone in 2011.
