Reel Life, a film written by one of Keystone’s solicitors and 100% funded by the firm itself, has now received awards and accolades from two international film festivals.

Reel Life is a highly original short film and romantic comedy in which a fictional Keystone lawyer (played by Adam Sinclair) lives his entire life in film whilst playing the part of a criminal lawyer. In a world controlled by directors and producers he and his co-stars have no idea what will happen next.

The film was written by Laurence Relton who is both a Keystone corporate lawyer and a professional screen writer who has previously written for My Family, School of Comedy and various screen plays and stage shows. The film stars Nazneen Contractor, who played a leading role in Star Trek Into Darkness; Adam Sinclair, who has starred in Lip Service and Mile High; Anthony Head, best known for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Merlin; and Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, the interior designer and star of Changing Rooms.

Reel Life was recently awarded the Audience Award for Best Film and the Best Actor Award at the LA Film Festival as well as receiving an honourable mention at the Anchorage International Film Festival. Keystone itself benefits from highly innovative use of product placement in a manner that complements the films own style.

Keystone Law Managing Partner, James Knight, says:

“We financed this film for three reasons. One: because it is written by one of our own people and we like to support that sort of thing; Two: Keystone is part of the script which is novel; Three: it’s clever and quite funny. If nothing else Reel Life tells the world that lawyers can be funny; sometimes.
