Akash is a barrister and has specialised in intellectual property litigation for nearly two decades. As well as providing advice to high-growth technology companies, he has acted for clients across a range of sectors including Research In Motion on patent litigation matters in the English High Court, BSkyB in a case involving the importation of foreign decoder cards, a major defence contractor in a trade secrets arbitration, and a major Chinese telecoms company in proceedings in Hong Kong and China.
Akash also regularly advises clients on social media issues, advertising disputes and reputation management issues, particularly in the online environment.
Akash is also qualified to practise as a solicitor in Hong Kong and has had significant experience in international arbitration, having acted in ICC, AAA and LCIA arbitration disputes.
